We slid into May a couple of hours ago – so today is officially the last day of law school for the students at this particular law school. I have a few class-related obligations to take care of but I’m going to be turning my attention to studying for the bar exam.
That’s right, it’s May 1, and I’m studying for the bar. What I’m not doing is BAR/BRI. So, this will be an adventure – will I wind up vindicated, or humiliated?
Today I signed up for Adaptibar, which has so far been a pretty great MBE preparation program. Bear in mind that I haven’t yet done a whit of substantive review. Tonight, though, I answered 50 questions on Constitutional Law (32 correct!). My plan is to do the same for each subject over the next 5 days, and then use Adaptibar’s analysis feature to determine the sub-categories I’m the weakest in, and spend several days studying on those areas. Then go back and do some more questions.
32/50 as a baseline with no studying: I’m feeling pretty good about that. I feel like many of the errors I made were stupid ones that will be easily correctable. We’ll see…
So nice to find a fellow non-BarBri taker! I, too, am wondering if I’ll feel humiliated in the end, but the rebel in me refuses to pay $3400 to listen to lectures 4hrs/day. From what I hear, though, it’s not what program you use, it’s just about how much/well you study. Will be curious to see how you like ApatiBar…

OMG! I cant beleive it.
